Dr. Greg (or Gregory) Pastorfide is considered the pioneer of IVF in the Philippines. He graduated from the University of the Philippines and completed his post-graduate education in OB-GYN at Harvard Medical School. He has received numerous awards; invited to speak in international scientific meetings, conferences and seminars; and has had a share of experience in local medical societies.

He has a very extensive knowledge and experience in the field. His contributions are countless and his expertise, undeniable.

Dr. Anthony Marc B. Ancheta

Dr. Anthony Marc B. Ancheta, FPOGS, FPSREI is one of the respected names in OB-GYN. He has received training locally and outside the country; Fellowship Training in Reproductive Endocrinology, Infertility and Menopause Department of Obstetrics and Gynecoloy at UP-PGH, Clinical Fellowship in Reproductive Medicine (IVF) at National University Hospital (Singapore) and Clinical Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Surgery at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital (Singapore); to name a few.

He is a fellow at Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society and at Philippine Society of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility; and is a member of European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology and American Society for Reproductive Medicine.

Dr. Eileen Co Sy

Dr. Eileen Co Sy is an accomplished OB-Gyne who graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in BS Biology from University of Santo Tomas. She took up Medicine in Sto. Tomas University in 1986, and had her Internship at Sto. Tomas University Hospital in 1990. In 1992, Dr. Sy underwent her Residency at the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital under the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Afterwards, she was awarded a Fellowship with the Section of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the Dept. of OBGYN, UP-PGH in 1996. She also received IVF trainings at TuDu Hospital and Ang Sinh Hospital in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam on July 2004 and August 2011 respectively.

Dr. Sy is also a Fellow with the Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society (POGS), Philippine Society of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility (PSREI) and Philippine Society for Gynecologic Endoscopy and Infertility (PSGE).

Apart from her numerous academic and professional accomplishments, Dr. Sy also received numerous awards and citations for her research. Her paper entitled “Sassone Sonographic Scoring System for Diagnosis of Ovarian Malignancy” won first prize during the UP-PGH Interdepartmental Research Paper Contest in 1995. She also won first prize during the POGS Annual Convention Poster Presentation Contest in 1998 for her paper entitled “Consecutive Day Semen Analysis: Comparison of the Effect of Sequential Ejaculation in Normospermic and Oligospermic Men”.

Her contribution to the reproductive health industry is nothing short of impressive. Dr. Sy continues to offer her expertise and dedication to families who are in need of medical help and advice on reproductive health.

Dr. Edwin Augustin E. Dimayuga, FPOGS, FPSREI is one of the highly regarded OB-GYN in the Philippines. Graduated Cum Laude for his pre-med degree (Bachelor in Science) at University of the Philippines in 1983, he pursued and completed Doctor of Medicine in the same university in 1987. He had his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at UP-Philippine General Hospital and had his fellowship in Reproductive and Endocrinology and Infertility University of Sydney.

Dr. Joan T. Tan-Garcia

Graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science (Pre-Medicine) at University of the Philippines in 1974, Dr. Joan T.Tan-Garcia is considered one of the most respected medical practitioners in their field. After her bachelor’s degree, she took up Doctor in Medicine at the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical Center. She had her Residency as OB-Gyne in 1983 at UP-Philippine General Hospital.

To further her knowledge and expertise in the field of reproductive health, Dr.Tan-Garcia went on and gained training from prestigious health organizations in different parts of the world. Some of her trainings include Laparoscopy in July 1985 at Fertility Care Center of Mary Johnston Hospital, Intensive Training on Female Infertility in 1988-1991 at Taipei Medical College Hospital. She also attended the 4th Course on Assisted Reproductive Techniques (Hands-on Practical and Lectures) at the National University Hospital- Singapore in 1993.

Dr. Tan-Garcia is also a Fellow in various medical societies in the country including the following: Philippine Obstetrics and Gynecology Society (POBGS), Philippine Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons (PSLS), Philippine Medical Association and Manila Medical Society (PMA&MMS), Philippine Society of the Study of the Aging Male (PSSAM) and many others.

Apart from her various trainings and fellowships, Dr. Tan-Garcia has also contributed to the reproductive health industry with her extensive research like the paper entitled “Effect of Nutrafem for the Management of Menopausal Symptoms: Multicenter Study”, which was published in January 2010 at Menopause Journal of NAMS. She is currently the Vice President of the Philippine Society of Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility.

Dr. Rena Cristina Koa-MalayaDr. Rena Cristina Koa-Malaya

Dr. Koa-Malaya is one of the highly regarded practitioners in OB-GYN and the fertility sub-specialty. She obtained her pre-medical degree (BS Biology, cum laude) in 1987 from the University of the Philippines (U.P.) and a medical degree from the same university’s College of Medicine in 1992. She went on to complete her Fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the U.P.’s Philippine General Hospital in 1998, where she earlier had residency training in OB GYN.

To solidify her expertise, she took a second Fellowship training at the National University Hospital in Singapore in 1999, with emphasis on laparoscopy and in-vitro fertilization. In 2008, she had a preceptorship training on IVF at the National Hospital of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Hanoi , Vietnam.

She is a board-certified Fellow with the Philippine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society, Philippine Society of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Philippine Society of Gynecologic Endoscopy and the Philippine Society of Climacteric Medicine, and also a Member of the Philippine Association of Adolescent Gynecology and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine.

Always wishing to pass-on and share her expertise, she often delivers lectures in seminars and workshops and is also the Training Officer in OB-GYN at the Batangas Regional Hospital. Her research writings have been published in local and foreign journals, including on laparoscopic hysterectomy in the Singapore Medical Journal in 2002.

Leonila A. Estole-CasanovaDr. Leonila A. Estole-Casanova

Although Dr. Leonila A. Estole-Casanova is one the youngest members of the team of Fertility Specialists of Victory ART, her educational achievements and trainings more than made up for her young age. She was the top of her class in BS Pharmacy in the University of Santo Tomas (UST) where she graduated as Cum Laude in 1995. She even landed 4th place in the 1995 Pharmacy Board Examination. She took her Medicine Degree at the same University where she graduated as Magna Cum Laude and ranked number 2 in the 2000 graduating class of 324 students.

After her Medicine Degree, she underwent training at the Philippine General Hospital completing the residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology (2002-2005) where she was awarded as the Most Oustanding Resident in 2005. She had her fellowship program (2006-2007) in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and Menopause, Gynecologic Endoscopy in the same institution.

Her thirst for further knowledge in Assisted Reproductive Technology brought her to:

– Singapore for her Basic Assisted Reproductive Technique Course in 2010 in the Centre for Reproductive Education and Specialist Training, CREST, National University Hospital
– Vietnam for her Clinical Training Course in 2014 on Controlled Ovarian Stimulation, Oocyte Pick-up and Embryo Transfer, Research Center For Genetics and Reproduction Health, Vietnam National University School of Medicine, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam,

At present, she is an Associate Professor 6 in the Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology of the UP College of Medicine. Pursuing her desire of applying and integrating pharmacology and toxicology in her field of expertise as an OBGYN/fertility specialist and , recognizing that infertility is one of the adverse outcomes in Reproductive Toxicology, she took additional international courses including:

– Diploma Course in 2013 on Research and Development of Products to meet Public Health Needs, Nagasaki University, Nagasaki, Japan
– International Training Course in 2014 on Environmental Immunotoxicology and Reproductive Toxicology, Chulabhorn Research Institute, Bangkok, Thailand
– Certificate Course (3 ECTS) on Reproductive Toxicology in 2015 in the Institute of Clinical Pharmacology and Toxicology, Charite-Universitatsmedizin Berlin, Germany

She is currently an active Fellow of the Philippine Gynecologic and Obstetrical Society and the Philippine Society of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. Dr. Sonia Estrada Desquitado is an experienced infertility specialist who offers patients an excellent clinical approach and warm personal care. She attended the University of the Philippines Diliman for premedical education and graduated Cum Laude with a degree in BS Biology. She obtained her medical degree from the UP College of Medicine and became a Doctor of Medicine in 1994. She completed residency training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of the Philippines – Philippine General Hospital. Upon graduation from residency in 1998, she was awarded the Rogelio Garcia Award for Most Outstanding Resident and topped the diplomate examination of the Philippine Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She continued her fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinoly and Infertility in UP-PGH, and pursued further training for clinical IVF at the Centre for Reproductive Specialist Training at the National University Hospital, Singapore.

Dr. Desquitado is a fellow of the Phillipine Obstetrical and Gynecological Society, the Philippine Society for Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, and the Philippine Society for Gynecologic Endoscopy.
